RIG WELDERS









Ensign Drilling – Australia is seeking to recruit hard working and highly motivated individuals to work within our Queensland & South Australian Drilling Rig operations. The Rig Welder is responsible for all welding and fabricating on the drilling rigs, camp facilities and remote work sites.
Applicants must also be willing to work a 3 weeks on 3 weeks off roster and travel to Toowoomba or Adelaide to meet crew change obligations.
RIG WELDER DUTIES include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for all welding and fabricating on the drilling rig and camp facility
  • Oxy-acetylene welding, Electric arc welding, MIG welding
  • Pressure welding (only required for Level 3 Welder)
  • Basic metal fabrication
  • Work from engineering plans and drawings
  • Implement maintenance programs under supervision or direct instruction
  • Carry out fire team duties as assigned and as directed
  • Participate in all safety meetings, fire and BOP DRILLS and safety training programs
  • Assist in first aid and medivac procedures as directed
  • Have a thorough knowledge of rig emergency signals and procedures
  • Undertake all other work as requested by Management
  • Comply with all QA policies and work procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies and work procedures
  • Contribute to the development of and improvements in departmental QA procedures
  • Actively work towards achieving/maintaining of Training Matrix in accordance with organisational KPI’s
  • Assist with maintenance shut downs and upgrade programs when required.

    Position Description:

    The Plant Operator is responsible for safety oversight of activities being undertaken within the Terminal and optimising gas, LPG, and condensate production through the available equipment.
    Assets include separators, knock-out vessels, fractionation columns, refrigeration cold-boxes, compressors, gas fired engines, electrical generation, and typical plant utilities.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
    • Working with other Operators, responsible for care and condition of plant/equipment of a specific area, undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks, servicing and cleaning activities and assisting tradespersons
    • Responsible for ensuring the safe systems of work and methods of minimising the environmental impact are implemented for all plant activities
    • Ensuring compliance to the Site Safety Management Plan
    • Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team
    • Undertake/contribute to risk assessments and risk acceptances for various processes
    • Perform safety observations, conversations and quality control checks in accordance with Arrow requirements
    • Understand and apply quality control policies and procedures
    • Comply with Operational Integrity (OI) programme procedures and systems
    • Other such duties as reasonably directed in line with skill set

    HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

    Desirable Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Personal Attributes
    It is desirable that the incumbent is able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:
    • Certificate 3 / 4 Process Plant Operations
    • Experience in the production of LPG or other products requiring fractionation and refrigeration processes
    • Root cause analysis methodologies
    • Exposure to CMMS systems
    • A maintenance trade qualification

    • Responsible for overseeing the construction of a variety of Fixed Plant equipment
    • Managing a team of E&I construction contractors to ensure safe and efficient construction of a large scale Processing facility

    Currently Queensland’s Energy industry is in an exciting growth phase as such we are now seeking an experienced Gas Plant Operator to fulfil a 12 month contract position based in Wester in Queensland on a 15 days on 13 days off rotation.

    As a key member of the Owner’s team the primary responsibility of the Gas Plant Operator is be responsible for safe and efficient gas processing, through the control of compressor facilities and various plant equipment. You will provide frontline plant surveillance and defect recognition while maintaining a strong focus on ensuring safe production.


    Responsibilities will include though are not limited to:

    • Monitor baseline maintenance of compressor stations to ensure the high availability of the compressor sets and plant equipment, as well as effective metering and pressure regulation.
    • Complete area surveillance and rectify (to level of competence) and/or report safety, environmental, maintenance and production issues, ensuring that all identified defects are appropriately documented in the relevant registers and databases.
    • Participate in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance to manufacturer’s guidelines.
    • Conduct careful observation of maintenance agreements and warranties.
    • Maintain operational support for emergency response equipment as required.


    Skills & experience will include:
    • Certificate III in Gas Plant Operations
    • Self-driven & motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience in Operations & Maintenance
    • Demonstrated experience in gas plant, refinery or petrochemical operations
    • Experience in high pressure gas operations
    • Experience in basic workplace reporting.
    • Knowledgeable in risk assessment and evaluation.
    • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Experience in SAP and Maximo is desirable
    • Permit Authority Certificate is desirable
    • Good understanding of isolation hierarchy
    • PTW and working hazardous areas
    • Good understanding of Operations business with in-depth experience in field production & maintenance operations.
    • Team member, working in a small operations group of 8/10 personnel
    • Area of responsibility (timely quality data) directly influences important risk areas like asset integrity, licence to operate, hydrocarbon accounting and reservoir management

    HV Electrician

    Our global Mining client is looking for an experienced HV Electrician to join their team in the Pilbara due to an influx in operations on site.  This position will be on a contract to permanent basis, 2:1 roster with competitive rates on offer.

    Duties:

    Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor your duties will include but not be limited to.
    • Testing equipment and diagnosing faults on the fixed plant
    • Repairing  fixed plant equipment and faults on a regular basis to ensure safety standards are being met
    • Liaise and work closely alongside the Supervisors to optimise productivity and manage timeframes
    • Successfully carry out daily plant inspections as required
    • Create high voltage procedures and isolate high voltage equipment
    To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of fixed plant equipment.     Our client, a Major operator in the Oil&Gas industry, is currently recruiting for a Night Drilling Supervisor to the team on a 12 Month contract. The position requires someone to fulfil the following duties:

    • Coordinate closely with the Senior Drilling Supervisor and supervise the execution of the approved offshore drilling construction program
    • Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the employers Drilling Management System.
    • Manage offshore well construction operations to meet Company QHSE and asset objectives.
    • Manage offshore well construction operations in line with the employers Well Control Procedures, Well Control Bridging documents, Well Integrity Manual and Well Operations Manual document.
    • Participate as a key player in drilling & completion campaign planning and preparation.
