We’re looking for skilled and enthusiastic technical trainers to support our training operations in Kuwait.
About the project
Petrofac has been awarded a five-year contract to provide technical services support to Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) Operations Technical Personnel Development Team.
We are providing training specialists and instructors to train and support KOC’s upstream, onshore field operations and maintenance personnel across a number of assets in Kuwait. This includes delivering classroom based training and assessments and practical, hands-on sessions to Kuwaiti national trainers, technicians and engineers.

Roles available
All of our roles are full-time, residential positions based in Kuwait.
You’ll benefit from an accommodation allowance, company provided vehicle, medical insurance, annual flight ticket and 30 days annual leave.
Instructors
We’re looking for 25 skilled instructors across a range of technical disciplines:
Operations (Gathering Centres – Well Head, HP/LP Separation, De-hydration, Export)
Gas (Gas Booster Stations, Turbines, Compressors)
Laboratory services (Production Chemist Background)
Water handling (Well Water treatment and injection)
Instrument
Mechanical
Electrical
You’ll be responsible for ensuring Kuwaiti personnel receive the skills and knowledge required for them to perform their duties and for assessing skills, knowledge and vocational competencies against international best practices and standards.
Initially you’ll deliver the existing KOC training materials and programme alongside the KOC local training team. You will then undertake a full curriculum review to upgrade and refresh materials as required. Mentoring of the local trainers will form a key part of your work to enhance their capability and raise training standards.
Proven experience in these areas is essential. Candidates should ideally have:
Around 10 years’ experience in their technical speciality
Around four years’ experience in classroom training
Formal assessor/verifier qualifications
Train-the-trainer programme experience
Exposure to international qualifications
A valid driving licence is mandatory as you will be expected to drive to oil field locations across Kuwait.
Specialists
As a technical Specialist, you will provide support to the Instructors and specialist advice on your subject matter expertise. You will participate in the delivery of training services and will be responsible for implementing comprehensive improvements to Competency Frameworks and the training programme in line with international best practices and standards.
Candidates must have:
Technical/engineering degree from a recognised university
At least 15 years’ industry experience in related discipline
Proven experience in developing and implementing competency frameworks, training quality assurance, programme and curriculum review
A valid driving licence is mandatory as you will be expected to drive to oil field locations across Kuwait.
