Faststream Recruitment are currently working with a global supplier and operator of offshore floating platforms, in particular an FPSO in Africa. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Aberdeen office, with occasional trips to the above mentioned FPSO.
Our client is intending on making this a staff position after April, but it will begin on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to join an industry leading business with a long career opportunity.
The role will involve taking responsibility for managing the preventative maintenance of electrical equipment and to ensure compliance on asset maintenance routines for all electrical equipment.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
* Ensure the safe operations and integrity of all electrical offshore equipment.
* Provide electrical engineering support to the FPSO technicians, engineers and managers.
* Assist production and operations with engineering changes for electrical facility systems.
* Participate in meetings, reviews progress and ensure the project proceeds timely and smoothly.
* Visit the overseas office and vessel on a 6-weekly basis.
* Liaise with specific clients, vendors, suppliers and discipline engineers.
Certifications/Qualifications for this role:
* Relevant degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
* BOSIET.
* HUET.
* MIST.
* CA-EBS.
* OGUK Medical.
